Northland AAT is a co-op of professionals and volunteers who believe in the power of the human-animal bond and the role that animals play in improving quality of life. We offer both Animal Assisted Therapy and Animal Assisted Interventions in a variety of settings across the beautiful state of Minnesota.

Eligibility requirements for Northland AAT teams:

Volunteer handlers must be 13 years of age or older - any volunteer under the age of 18 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older who has passed a background check

Volunteers are required to follow all volunteer/visitor policies of the host sites/facilities at which they visit

Pets must be up to date on rabies and other recommended vaccinations

Both handlers & pets must be eager to socialize with unfamiliar humans
-
Dogs must be non-reactive towards other dogs
